Lindsey Vonn

Lindsey Vonn, from Vail, is making a strong push moving into the winter Olympics. She is more or less crushing the competition in downhill ski events leading up the Vancouver. Although I didn’t grow up in Vail, it’s exciting for the town. It’s not like they need more press, but it’s always nice to see a hometown person doing well, especially on a national stage. It’s weird to think she grew up here using Vail ski rentals and shopping in Vail ski shops, but for her, it was simply her childhood.
